You probably know that The Secret Life of Pets was produced by Illumination Entertainment, the animation studio behind Despicable Me and Minions. But did you know the Minions make several hidden cameos in Secret Life of Pets? It’s true; look for them in the fridge at Max’s house and on the bedside table of the guinea pig’s owner. That’s just one of the despicable facts featured in the newest episode of You Think You Know Movies!
Here’s How the ‘Ghost in the Shell’ Movie Trailer Looks Recut With Footage From the Original Anime
After 25 years as an influential force in popular culture, the Japanese manga and anime Ghost in the Shell is headed to American theaters in the spring of 2017. Scarlett Johansson stars in the film and, if its first trailer is any indication, the movie is not shying away from its source material’s wild, imaginative visuals. But how does the Ghost in the Shell live-action film, directed by Snow White and the Huntsman’s Rupert Sanders, compare with the classic anime version, directed by Mamoru Oshii? To find out, check out the trailer above, which takes the audio from the new Ghost in the Shell trailer and pairs it with visuals from the old cartoon. In our opinion, it’s an impressive match. It’s no easy feat to translate wild animated imagery into live-action, but, at least so far, Ghost in the Shell seems to have done it.

‘Moana’ Trailer: Disney Sets Sail for the South Pacific
As promised, Disney has debuted the first official trailer for Moana, the studio’s new musical adventure featuring the voices of Dwayne Johnson as a demi-god — as if you could cast him any other way. The Rock already played Hercules, now he plays a guy who kind of looks and sounds like Hercules’ South Pacific cousin Maui, who boasts of his great deeds, his magical fish hook, and his apparently magical dancing tattoos.
